For this first installment of Winter Shack writer Benjamin Miller reflected on the subject of failure and his experience of attempting to live in a shanty structure he built in the woods of West Virginia. Amina Cain read from her book of short stories “Creature” and Elianna Mesaikos created a lace net installation inside the shack, with delicate porcelain nails and chain links. .
